I may have missed a few things, but if you wanted a better summary on their relationship, here you go. Going from memory that’s about all I can remember in detail. I want to think he was going there to visit Edna to tell her about Eizen, since Eizen himself won’t meet with her. In the epilogue anime cutscene, young Zaveid is seen to be looking at the lights above a mountain, which suspiciously looks like Rayfalke. Zaveid also joked about making Edna his woman when he learned Eizen had a little sister to piss him off. To see how Zaveid, who used to be so against killing for any reason, is determined to be the one to end Eizen so that he can save him. We still don’t learn just what caused it, though.Īll in all, the last sidequest tied in well with the new TOZX ep, and only makes it that much more painful. Which should be about ~700 years after Berseria, and ~300 years before Zestiria that it happens. We also learn Eizen is well aware that he will dragonize at some point, and he states it’s “not far off”. He then promises Eizen he will get revenge and kill him at the point when he’s no longer himself (a dragon). After the dragon dies, Zaveid comes to an understanding of Eizen’s words “Sometimes death is the only salvation”. We end up killing the dragon after it goes berserk, and at one point Laphicet tried to purify it, and Zaveid thanked him even though it was useless. This time (or was it the time before, I can’t remember lol) we learn that the dragon was a good friend (maybe lover? He said she was a good woman but I’m not sure what he was implying…) named Teodora. After lots of fists to the face and the dragon escaping multiple times, we finally catch up to Zaveid again only to see him getting beat up badly by the dragon. In a sidequest you can do, you can keep pursuing the dragon, and Eizen and Zaveid get into a fight every time about it, because Eizen believes the only way to save it is to kill it, but Zaveid is against killing others. At one point during the game you find a dragon on top of a cliff, and Zaveid stops you from killing it, and keeps telling them not to call it a “dragon”. The gun has the power to restore it.įast forward, they fight a lot, Aifread was made into a gouma by Melchior and used by him, Eizen kills Aifread which Zaveid doesn’t agree with. During Berseria, a lot of Seirei were used as tools by exorcists, and had their free will sealed. For some reason Zaveid has Aifread’s gun, Siegfried, and later we learn it was entrusted to him after Aifread gave Zaveid his “free will” back. It all ties into him chasing down Aifread who has disappeared. When you first meet Eizen in the game, you learn he’s chasing a “Pendulum user”. Zaveid shoots an Edna illusion in the head right in front of Eizen’s face which was pretty hilarious. One time the party finds a letter that Eizen wrote to her, and when he finds out they read it, he threatens them with death haha.īefore the party finds it’s for his little sister, they keep speculating about a possible lover which was fun to watch. On one subevent you can do, he gets a reply from her. At the time of Berseria, he has not met with her once since, though he often sends letters to her. When that happened, he felt even more strongly, “we are definitely siblings.”ĭue to his Shinigami Curse, he always brings danger to those around him, and wanting to keep that danger away from Edna, he left her at Rayflake Mountain. Coincidentally, Edna also made one for him at the same time, the only difference being hers had a small drawing inside. Later, when Eizen leaves Edna behind on the mountain so that his Curse won’t bring any more danger to her, he made her a necklace as a present. Although there are countless others born from it too, when Edna was born, Eizen took a special interest in her, and when her tiny hand gripped his finger, he felt a strong sense of wanting to protect her. Eizen and Edna are both Earth Seirei born from the land of Rayfalke Mountain. The game explains why they are considered siblings, despite Seirei/Malak/Seraph (whatever the heck you wanna call them) having no actual “family”. So if you’d like to know more about the background and don’t mind spoilers, read on. Some of it ties into the new TOZX episode, but there are spoilers for Berseria in here. Just a few tidbits about their relationship revealed that I can remember.
